Aunt Kiersten

Kate's Aunt Kiersten has been a very special person in her life since she was a baby. Kate had the chance to spend two days a week with Kiersten last year since she was her one year old preschool teacher - and all that quality time definitely resulted in a very close bond. Whenever they're together, Kiersten always lets Kate play with her cell phone, remotes, her jewelry, and pretty much whatever else she wants. And Kate's still talking about getting to dress up and be Kiersten's flower girl in her wedding this summer!

Wednesday night after church we went to Kiersten's moving party. We're so excited for her as she relocates to Virginia to be with her husband, but it was definitely difficult to say goodbye. While Kiersten was packing her stuff she found an old cell phone and decided to give it to Kate (as well as other various things she knew Kate would consider treasures!). Of course the phone doesn't have service, but it still is functional when its charged as far as the screen working, buttons lighting up, pictures, and ring tones working. As you can see from the picture above, Kate LOVED her special present!! The cell phone will live at Granmomma's house, but I'm sure every time she's there she'll be playing with it and thinking about Kiersten!

We already are missing Kiersten and we can't wait to see her at Christmas!
